Task 7: Feedback on rough cut of our music video

We presented our rough cut of our music video to our class and recieved some positive feedback and some constructive criticism which was very useful as it will help us make any changes that the audience will want to see change:

Some of the comments were:

- More interaction between the couple would be better
- Pictures all over the screen would be a good idea
- Clips need to be shorter
- Images are on for too long - can put more or speed up the duration of each
- Lip synching/talking is not clear - needs to be cut into
- Artist looks confused in the mirror scene - needs fixing,

Task 8: Feedback on digipak pitch/Print products

We have pitched our initial ideas for our print products and have gained some useful audience comment on what they liked and some suggestions before we get on with them:

- Idea of female being the shadow is good
- Shadow of the female shouldn't be there as it will take the focus away from him as an artist
- The park may be a good location from the music video to use for the insert
- A use of the artist's image from the music video in the park with a different background that can be created on photoshop may be a good idea.

We have taken some comments into consideration and will have only the artist featured on all of the print products.

We are working our way through editing the clips and to put them together for our music video. We are becoming confident in using Final Cut Pro independently as a group

Task 6: Shooting at Hyde Park day 3

We changed our park location of Hollow Ponds to Hyde Park as the setting was easier to use and it wasn't as busy. We also think the location is better and there is more space that we were allowed to use.

We have completed all of our shoots and are ready to select the good shots and start working on them for the editing task.

For our second shooting we took mainly the house scenes and have achieved some good shots that we have reviewed and are happy with. We don't need to re shoot these scenes and so have worked up to our individual roles as a team.

Task 6: Music video shooting - Day 1 practice

Today our first shooting took place at Zeynep's house and a park on the same street as the house. We considered these shoots as our practice shoots as we wanted to test out our locations with the camera and see if anything needs to improved for the actual filming and what kind of things are required that we need to consider. 

We realised that these practice shoots helped us, as our actors were more comfortable by the end of it, and watching back we realised that we need to take more care with how focused the camera is when shooting and how the lighting should be.

Above is the college TV studio. Here we will shoot a lot of the lip synching and any narrative based performance that we may shoot. We will also have the scenes of the couple here.

Above is the location of Hollow Ponds. We will shoot the meeting scene here and the ending scene where they come across each other once again.

Above is Canary Wharf. We will shoot the couple's time together here around the area.

This is the college photography studio. We may shoot some parts here if the TV studio is not available.
