Notes on DSLR Cameras
- Off/on button on the top
- On goes to pic mode
- Move to top – video
- 60 shutter speed – should be 50 (usually)
- Aperture - Scrolling the wheel means the aperture can change (the amount of light taken into camera) – lower number, brighter
- Top button iso – the lower it is the darker the image (ideally should be low)
- When zoomed in can change aperture for lighting as it can make it darker
- Depth of field - Change aperture to lower pulls the focus to you
- Exposure – brightness/darkness
- Over exposed – too much brightness
- Under exposed – too much darkness
- Shutter speed affects exposure - higher shutter speed, the darker the image (50 a good number)
- Difference between fixed lenses and how much some can zoom and how the others can’t
- White balance AWB – affects the colour
- Bottom right custom white balance
- If outside – daylight can be used
